More info
Château Pavie is considered one of the appellation's finest references and became Grand Cru Classé A in 2012.
Château Pavie owes its name to a fishery that bore this name in the 4th century: the Pavie fishery. These are peach trees that were initially planted on the Pavia vineyard. The estate grew little by little with the families who owned it and became the estate we know today. It was under the aegis of the Persian family that Pavia experienced a real boom. With another vision of viticulture and wine, Château Pavie will be modernized. This desire is materialized by the design of a more modern and architectural cellar.
The Château Pavie estate represents a little less than 40 hectares of vines, located on a limestone subsoil. Château Pavie is today considered one of the best wines in the world. It must be said that the Saint-Emilionnais terroir is very conducive to viticulture.
