More info
Few great wines can boast of seven centuries of history and being born out of the passion of a pope. Clément V, elected under Philippe Le Bel in 1305, was the owner of Château Pape Clément to which he gave his name.
Its owner continues his work and creates a first in Bordeaux by hand shelling the entire harvest. For the sake of excellence, the grains are conveyed by gravity into small capacity wooden vats, adapted to the size of each plot, where they will be vinified with the greatest respect.
Reconciling richness, traditions and cutting-edge techniques, the wines of Château Pape Clément are produced with the highest standards.
In the vineyard, everything is done so that nature expresses its best without hindrance. Weed control has been abolished in favor of soil work to lead a fight that respects the environment.
