This small property with a dream land, in the heart of the Pomerol plateau, owes its resurrection to the late Catherine Péré-Vergé, also owner of the Le Gay and Montviel châteaux in Pomerol, a woman of temperament and lover of great wines. She had made it a veritable winemaking laboratory, pushing the attention to every detail very far: very low yields, de-grading of the grapes by hand, full vinification in barrels. The result is a haute couture wine, pure Merlot, which will seek its languid seduction very far in maturity, and whose production unfortunately turns out to be more than confidential. The adventure continues and La Violette has not finished charming the lucky amateurs who will be able to access it.
