More info
Former domain of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, the Château Gazin is, by its surface area, one of the most important properties of the appellation.
It was in 1918 that Louis Soualle, great-grandfather of the current owners, acquired this vineyard, to the management of which his descendants provide all their care.
Château Gazin practices traditional viticulture: plowing, monitoring yields, thinning, stripping, to which are added new techniques of sexual confusion and the gradual establishment of organic cultivation. The harvest is vinified in thermoregulated cement vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels, aging in oak barrels. The wines are clarified with egg whites or, if necessary, lightly filtered. The production, exported at 85%, can reach 100,000 bottles (including 25,000 for the second wine).
Château Gazin is a member of the Bordeaux Wine Academy.
