More info
Founded by Bernard Phélan, originally Irish, and developed by his son Franck, Château Phélan Ségur has been a benchmark for the Saint-Estèphe appellation since the 19th century.
With seventy hectares voluntarily divided into four large separate plot units, the property has a specific terroir making the best use of the diversity of Stéphanois soils.
Its cellar and vat room integrated into the castle offer an exceptional architectural feature.
The attention paid to the aging of the wines is a hallmark for Phélan Ségur, who claims a style based on elegance, finesse and balance.
The Gardinier family handed over the reins of the estate in 2018 to Philippe Van de Vyvere, a great lover of Bordeaux.
Philippe Van de Vyvere applies his entrepreneurial values to the search for aesthetic and technical excellence while respecting environmental balances.
