More info
Château Monbousquet, Saint-Emilion, Grands Crus Classés. The terroir of Monbousquet is truly exceptional, with its majority of hot and deep gravels in the southern part and its sandy-clay soils in the north. Like Cheval Blanc and Figeac, it indeed has the characteristic of having largely gravelly soils, and therefore warm, where the relatively late Cabernets ripen perfectly. This natural fact explains the particularly high proportion of the latter in the overall grape variety.
