More info
The 4.5 hectares of La Mondotte, located on the clay-limestone plateau east of Saint-Emilion, constitute a veritable setting endowed with all the natural assets conducive to the development of a Premier Grand Cru Classé.
The soils, made up of very silty clays, rest on a rocky substrate. This shallow and poor terroir structure generates excellent water regulation and promotes deep rooting of the vines. The natural drainage, combined with the exceptional sunshine from which the vineyard benefits, determine a terroir of great precocity. Each year, the ripening of the grapes, especially Merlot, takes place under the most favorable conditions.
This 19th century property has been certified Organic Agriculture since 2014.
